All Summer Long

Yay, they're at the beach !
I've been drawing lot's of summery art recently - which is weird considering that it's less than 20 degrees (C) outside, windy and raining . Maybe my brain is trying to make up for it...
It's actually especially annoying since only a few weeks ago - the last weeks of school even - we had the best, most perfect weather anyone could wish for. We sat in our stuffy grey classrooms sweating in our blazers drooling onto our coursework and essays smudging the ink as we stared out the windows at the almost unrealistically beautiful scene outside where Julie Andrews may as well have been prancing around. The second the holidays started the weather turned to sh*t.

Still, this picture was huge fun to draw - I'm not even sure why, but it just wasn't being difficult... Nothing crashed, focusing was easier than usual, and there weren't so many dodgy fiddly bits that no matter how hard you try just wont look right...
So all in all... fun picture.
